Mine craft clay soldier mod

So I'm trying to download the claysoldier mod but the instructions to do so are very poor and it's not working. How do I download it?

• Install Minecraft Forge
• Install my Manager Pack
• Drop the downloaded jar file inside the /mods folder
• Play Minecraft

That's where I did it and I followed hose directions but I don't get the mod folder

You need to create your own "mods" folder in the .minecraft directory

You need to run minecraft forge first. 

 

Get forge here:

https://files.minecraftforge.net/

Make sure its the right version of minecraft

 

Then run the downloaded file, click install.

 

In the Minecraft Launcher, select the new Forge Profile, then launch the game once.

 

Close the game, then go to the %appdata%/.minecraft folder

 

You should see the mods folder where you can place all your future forge mods.

No. Forge automatically creates this folder. If it isn't there, neither is forge.

I ran forge and it said it installed everything correctly, no mods folder though.

Does it need to be the windows store mine craft? Because I have the one downloaded from the internet not the windows store

Follow my instructions step by step. You need to launch minecraft with forge for the folder to appear.

You can only install mods on the version you get from minecraft.net.

When in the minecraft launcher, go to edit profile and there should be an option called change version. Look for something titled forge. (EX: Forge1.7.10)

Forge automagically does this for you if it installed correctly. You shouldn't have to set the profile game version manually.

Which forge do I download? 1.11? I have the latest minecraft update.

Download the recommended release on the home page for the most recent version of minecraft.

THe forge version and Profile will not appear until you install the Forge mod itself. To do so, start the executable/file that you downloaded from the forge website I linked you, and click "Install".

 

Minecraft and the Minecraft Launcher must be closed for the installation to work. When its done, re-open the launcher, and forge will be there.
