PC build.

Hi! I need a PC build for my friend. His budget is 2100$ and I was planning for

 

i7-6700K

GTX 1080

G skill ripjaw V series 32 gb

4tb wd black

500 gb 850 evo

asus rog hero alpha mobo

1080p full hd monitor 25 in

win 10

750W psu, 80+ goild

random case

water cooling (only cpu)

 

What should I change in here? Thanks!

 

P. S. He does a lot of 3d modeling so should he get a xeon cpu?

I'd get better monitor, all that power wasted on a 1080p

Ultrawide or 144hz is what I would go for.

 

Theres a sale Right now you can get a 144hz panel for $170, Acer Xf240h on Costco right now

but does higher refresh rate matter? Also, I he doesn't have much space cuz college...

I guess you can go for that

Its just personal preference, I very much enjoy fast paced smoothness with high refresh rates rather than eye candy pixels

If the price is right, I don't see why not to get a 4k monitor

Welp, I'll let him choose. He might go for 4k cuz of the 3d modeling he does. Thanks!

if he has enough money for a 6800k or 6900k, go for it, but is not necessary. I only recommend xeon cpu for companies which does a huge projects to render them, otherwise, it's just a waste of money because they are expensive

You only need to consider a Xeon (in this case) if ECC is needed or would provide benefit (unlikely) or if there is a need for greater than 10 cores.
