I'd get better monitor, all that power wasted on a 1080p

Ultrawide or 144hz is what I would go for.

Theres a sale Right now you can get a 144hz panel for $170, Acer Xf240h on Costco right now

but does higher refresh rate matter? Also, I he doesn't have much space cuz college...

how about a 4k monitor instead?

I guess you can go for that

Its just personal preference, I very much enjoy fast paced smoothness with high refresh rates rather than eye candy pixels

If the price is right, I don't see why not to get a 4k monitor

Welp, I'll let him choose. He might go for 4k cuz of the 3d modeling he does. Thanks!

if he has enough money for a 6800k or 6900k, go for it, but is not necessary. I only recommend xeon cpu for companies which does a huge projects to render them, otherwise, it's just a waste of money because they are expensive

Remember to quote me (or someone else), otherwise we won't going to recieve your answers...

PC Specs                   PCPartpicker full performance builds (from350$-1250$)
