Angry Hillary supporters "peacefully"  prot-RIOTING and now some bitter Trump supporters threating to boycott all of Pepsico because "I didn't like what the CEO said!!!!" Then there was the incident with people burning New Balance shoes/ crazy racists implying they are "shoes for white people" 

 

tl;dr at least half of the US population eat paint chips. 

Boycotting is legal as it is non-violent and there are no laws mandating you to buy anything(aside from health insurance currently). There are also peaceful protests as well. Rioting is the use of violence, sometimes to try to convey a point, but most times only succeeding in revealing the ape-like intellect among its participants.
