Windows 10 error 0xc0000001

I keep getting a windows 10 blue screen at boot up with error code 0xc0000001

I have tried to repair the MBR and even run a system recovery but it fails and the MBR repair doesn't seem to do anything.

It happened after I had changed the PSU. nothing else has changed. I get the option to get into safe mode however it just goes to the windows logo and is stuck there. Last time this happened I could get in through low resolution mode but this time it gets stuck at the windows logo with spinning circle.

I've attached a picture with the error

I can't really do a fresh install only because of the amount of important stuff on the pc

@TAHIRMIA looks like this code is used for 4 different problems: file system integrity, system files corruption,  Security Accounts Manager file missing or RAM problems. If I were you, I would check RAM first just to discard hardware problems, and then reinstall Windows, but before even starting to do that, try the old PSU again to check if the problem is not the newer one.

I tried a windows memory test and tried the ram on a different PC and it worked fine. I can't try the old PSU because it it completely dead. Anything else I can try?

How the old PSU died?

If the new PSU is fine, you can do a chkdsk and sfc scan with the repair/install disk, but some errors are not fixed by those and they might take a lot of time. For simplicity and time saving, I would boot into a Linux live usb, copy all important stuff, format the entire disk (removing partitions and thepartition table) and reinstall from scratch.

The fan stopped spinning at first then the rest slowly died.

I did try chkdsk but forgot about sfc I'll try it and let you know what happens.

Hmm, try the following:

move C:\Windows\WinSXS\pending.xml C:\

move C:\Windows\WinSXS\reboot.xml C:\

Then reboot and try sfc again

It says "The system cannot find the files specified"

Jesus... Seriously, I would reinstall it from scratch. If you can backup your important files and reinstall Windows, just do it. Trying to fix this will take much more time than to reinstall everything again.

I have another HDD so I'll install window on that and still try to get back the installation and my files somehow.
