I saw Elysium but didnt think that was happening for a few months. Has the end of this month been confirmed? if so, that means that the old player base is coming back

 

BTW would you recommend kronos 1 or 2 or the other realms they have?

From many years of experience, a private server, no matter what expansion, will never be as good as retail. 
Bugs/lag/crashes and no progress of any sort just never ends well.

I spent a few years bounching between servers, spending anything between a week to about a year in each. 

I went back to retail few weeks ago. To be honest Legion has surpassed all my expecations. Really good expansion.

Yes. They are already preparing to launch 3 realms.

1. Realm will be PvP with all the old accounts and characters transfered from Nostalrius

2. Realm will be PvE 

3. Realm will be PvP - fresh start

 

Right now it is not worth playing there as everything will be rolled back to the database from the 6th November once they will start so any progress you do now will be deleted.

No. I get what you mean as I had gread deal of playing on a lot of private servers but right now you dont know what you are talking about.

Kronos and Nostalrius are Vanilla servers with very cappable administrators. They even patched bugs that were not patched by Blizzard back then on 1.12.1. Thats one of the reason why these servers have several thousand active players. These are not your common small private servers.

Kronos 2 is "fresh" was started only about 3-4 months back. So I would recommend that for new players.

The other realms are not vanilla if you mean Artemis and such.

alright assuming kronos 1 has the most population

Kronos 2 has the most population, but most people will be moving to Nostalrius/Elysium anyways.

They will launch the old PVP realm first, and will launch 2 new realms 3-4 weeks after that.

I just couldn't bring myself to put any serious effort into a character on a server that could come to an end with a court order, not to mention the fact that since quitting progression raiding all i do is collect mounts/pets/achievements. Played for all of vanilla and i have some fond memories but i want to look forward not backwards. Its a shame Blizzard couldn't get on board with doing a couple of legacy servers for each expansion, i think i'd be all over WOTLK lol
