Is this xfx rx 480 any good?

This graphics card is currently on sale for 200 dollars in newegg for the reference 8gb model is it good?

the reference coolers are trash , even if this is $50-60 cheaper your chip may benefit from a non reference cooler in the long run

idk ive never really been big fan of reference card... Especially from AMD, loud and dont even cool well but it does seem to be a good steal later in the road im going to go with 2 Msi gaming x 480's with freesync

The deal is great, unless you are planning to overclock i will not recommend the reference cooler.

If $200 is not your absolute limit, I would pay a bit more for a 4GB RX 480 with an aftermarket cooler. If $200 is your absolute limit, I would for an aftermarket Rx 470.

It's an 8 GB model. It's not that bad of a deal if he gets a aftermarket cooler for it.

No way I could recommend a reference RX480. Just to save a few bucks, but at the expense of many years of suffering of abuse of noisy computer. Really not worth it if you think further.

Thanks for the replies but are nvidia reference model coolers are as bad as amd's for example a gtx 1060 and a rx 480 which is better?
