RX 490 VS 1080TI?

I believe RX 490 will compete with GTX 1070.

the 1080 will smoke the amd card even if they come out with it. the 1080 ti will provide titan XP level of performance.

I disagree because it was made to be played on 4K and is coming as an answer to 1080 ti

both of these cards havn't even been released yet. as such, discussing this really has no point. all is speculation untill we get some proper benchmarks.

you're comparing two unreleased cards, we dont know.

 

but if i had to guess, the 1080Ti will be better. inb4.

We can reasonably expect the 1080Ti to perform like the Titan X(pascal)... because that's what it is based off.

 

We can reasonably expect AMD to be as generous as possible about the upcoming performance of their Vega 10 based card... because that's what they did with the RX480 prelaunch.

 

We can reasonably expect the Vega 10 card to outperform the RX480.

 

BUT we have no clue at all about how it will perform compared to the 1080Ti.

The 490 will deliver witcher 3 on ultra 1440p, avg fps 56.7 with min of 33.4

 

Fo4 ultra 1440p avg 87.3 fps and min 25.3 fps...

 

Sorry that are only two benchmarks, but you know, its dificult to find benchmarks of a Card that does not EXIST yet.
