I'm a bit curious with this part; 'The process is called Bitcoin "mining" and is set up so that the total number of Bitcoins that can ever be generated is limited to about 21 million.' Why 21 million? Do they know how many so far has been mined? 21 million seems a lot but from what I read, it is almost not worth it for normal miners to mine enough bitcoins and offset their power and equipment bills in a reasonable duration.
