Macbook Pro really high CPU load temp

So I got a top of the line 2013 MBP for $300 which is why I bought it.

So while rendering a video or doing a stress test the CPU can get up to 98c! I've posted another topic on this with no sourced or direct answer. Is this normal? Will cleaning it or reapplying thermal paste help at all? I've done some research and other people are having problems like this. Will this degrade the life of the Macbook? I don't know what to do at this point and it's just stressing me out.

Reapply the thermal paste and tighten the screws for the heatsink

Give it a good old clean out, and reapply thermal paste.

If that doesn't work, well... it's a MacBook. There's only so much you can do about high temps.

2013 MacBook Pro, sounds like the retina version already.  The CPU is soldered onto the logic board.  The only thing you can do is open up the bottom cover, use a can of compressed air to dust out all the vents, fans, heatsinks, etc.

You can take heatsinks off

That's a Macbook Pro for yea lol  I would clean it with isopropyl alcohol and reapply some thermal paste.

Ahh right, but it probably won't do much by reapplying thermal paste.  The paste Apple uses is already of a decent quality.  But dusting out the vents and fans will help.  I dust mine out every year.

I try and do it at least once a month.

Yea.. I've done it on literally thousands of computers.

It's non-conductive, and it takes thermal paste right off. Just put a little on a napkin and wipe the old thermal paste away.

Sure if you live in a place where the air is pretty dusty that it requires a monthly cleaning.  I don't.

I use my MBP for work, I'm always working on servers, and in racks which can be dusty.

I use mine for work too, but we work in totally different types of environments and jobs.
