just asking, use gaming maybe lite programming, res all, as i said i'm just asking i probably won't buy these.

depends on ur money. if you can afford the i7, go for it. if not, go for the i5. both will be fine.

I'm using a 6700 on my rig right now, pretty good.

between 6700 and 6600k the i7 is faster.
