Laggy Video Playback Linux Mint

I wasn't sure whether to post this in troubleshooting or OS, if its in the wrong section sorry.

When I watch a youtube video its really laggy and choppy, sometimes the audio doesn't align, I don't know whats the problem do you guys have any idea?

I know internet isn't a problem because I get 70 down and 10 up.

Try a LIVE build of Elementary OS or ubuntu and see if it's still the same.

It means a version you don't have to install, you can use it from the USB stick to see if you like it... mint also comes that way,lol
