DDR5?

So, I was planning on buying new parts for my pc, and I want to wait for CES before purchasing stuff like the MoBo and GPU. So I planned on buying stuff I knew I could use in the mean time and transfer to my new rig. The case, PSU, HDD, but I was wondering if I could pick up some DDR4. I know intel will be releasing the 7700k sometime down the line and Im wondering if theres some ddr5 in the works.

DDR5 is a long ways out. We don't really update RAM that often. DDR4 also has a long way to go. Trident-Z introduced some new modules, not out yet, that run at a base speed of over 4Ghz!

DDR5? Haven't heard much about that, proably not for a few years yet. Kabylake will still be on the 1151 socket with DDR4.
