Black border around screen

Check your graphics related control panel (Catalyst control if AMD, geforce experience if Nvidia) and make sure that the display scaling is proper. (It's been a while since I did this so my instructions may not be the best)

It's probably just a built in part of the monitor. I looked at your pictures again and I didn't realize how small the border was the first time. It looks like an internal bezel which is quite normal.
