I just noticed I had Skyrim Special Edition for free and on my library, I have played a bit and I am wondering, against the original modded version, is the Special Edition better or worse? (Graphically speaking, even with mods for special edition, which looks better?)

Modded OG Skyrim looks better than vanilla remastered Skyrim. As far as mods for the remastered, it's a bit early in its life for stellar graphical mods to be released.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Pyo.

The most important thing is that S:SE is 64bit and so mods aren't limited by ram.

Once SSE gets some good graphical mods I'll go back to it

Honestly not much of a remaster imo but w/e

SSE runs smoother and is (at least for me, I have heard people are having crashing issues) more stable. Mods-wise, the original is obviously way ahead as its been out for 5 years :P

I really like the graphics in SSE, with some texture mods (desperately needed) it looks good. Not crazy like some of the ENBs for the original, you aren't going to get super photo-realistic graphics or anything like that, but its still nice. I've been really enjoying just playing the game, not worrying about the graphics, tweaking ENBs to my liking etc. Definitely some nostalgia going on too!

100 % Agree, I also feel like SSE is more User-Friendly and the original if you want to use a lot of mods is very hard because of crashing issues and such.
