First PC build plan - Thoughts?

Hello LTT community, i want to ask you guys if this PC build is decent enough or not and if there would be problems when building it. This is my first time actually searching for PC parts and my first time planning it. I did some research but i'm not quite sure that this build will be optimal. I'm planning to use this PC for gaming and game developing with Unreal Engine 4. I hope this suffices with my 1000$ budget (approximate. I'm Indonesian.)

 

CPU: Intel Core i5 - 6600K 3.3 Ghz Skylake series
GPU: Galax Geforce GTX 960 4GB DDR5 EXOC
RAM: Corsair SO DIMM DDR4 8GB PC 17000 1x8
Motherboard: MSI B150M Gaming Pro

PSU: 1stPlayer Gaming PSU 600W
Storage: Seagate 1TB SATA 3 & Galax SSD Gamer L Series 120GB 
Case: Dazumba D Vito 530

 

Do I need extra fans to keep this PC from overheating? Or would there be no more space for it as I am told that the case comes with it's own fans, though not very good.

Any help is highly appreciated.

That PSU will explode, get something like a CX450M instead. 

Get an RX 470 or RX 480 or GTX 1060 (6GB ideally, 3GB is alright but you may run into some issues). The 960 is not worth it anymore.

I am no game developer, but I think investing 100 more bucks in an i7 6700K would be a good idea. Also, you'll see real benefit going to 3000mhz DDR4, which is not much more expensive.

dont get the gtx 960 get one of the 10 series cards like 1050 ti, 1060 3gb or 1060 6gb. dont be too worried about the brands unless you have brand preference. go with what looks nice to you with a decent price.

Also 16gb ram is cheap, 8 will bottleneck you soon if not already.

you have a 'k' cpu and a non 'Z170' MOBO. change or the cpu to a non 'k' or the mobo to a 'z170'. if you go non 'k ' you cant overclock. if you go 'z170'  and a 'k' cpu you can overclock

SO-DIMM ram also wont fit that motherboard, you need regular DIMM modules.

I say you should change the i5 6600k to an i7 6700 since you have a b150 motherboard. Also, maybe go for a H110 motherboard? Moreover, i think you should get a 1050 ti rather than a 960. But these are all my opinions, go for what feels right for you

How about we combine what everyone has so far said:

Get a Z170 motherboard

Get normal sized DIMMs, SODIMMs won't fit

Get a GTX 1060 instead

Get a CX450M instead of that firecracker.

I've seen the pricing for the Z170 and thought that maybe it's not that necessary for me since the biggest benefit of it is the ability to overclock. Or is there some things i should know about the Z170 compared to the B150 that makes it more worthwhile to invest in it?

 

And will this PC overheat without any added fans?

can you link us an Indonisian price comparing site or a preferred vendor list? Would make it easier for us to pick parts. right now we all are thinking Euro & Dollar and in those markets pretty much everything is available for a more or less (un)resonable price :-)

Boutique builds are usually overpriced. Also, a 6600k and 1060 6GB would be more balanced.

You could get a H170/B150/H110 motherboard and an i5-6500 and use the saved money to get a 1060 3/6GB.

Klo PSUnya yang CX450M aja bakal ada masalah ga? pengen neken harga sebanyak mungkin. 12 jtan lah optimalnya

I squeezed a 6700 with a 1060 6GB and a 850 EVO in in this.

I think it's worth it.

Ganti procie nya gan, kalo bisa jadi i5-6600k. Trus kalo emang mau neken lagi bisa kurangin HDD jadi 1 tera aj.
