I'm trying out some character builds.

If you are interested in the story, I always max charisma - there are many cool story bits that are locked out behind charisma checks.

I think intelligence is pretty useful and makes stuff easier to complete.

But I always max Int so it's not particularly interesting for me.

That question makes no sense. It dependa ENTIRELY on your playstyle. If you are playing on survival (which i am, and recomend), MAYBE agility + luck (for high stealth,vats and críticas) or endurance + strenght (more survivability, carry Weight..)

But what Matters really is what perks you value. Raw stats doesnt have Great value, int for example ONLY gives you higher exp gain. Str gives more melee dmg and carry Weight, só it is good raw, but Just Look at the perks for choosing your build, and choose stuff that fit well togheter.

It depends entirely on how you want to play the early part of the game. Look at what perks you want to take and choose your special stats based on that. SPECIAL is mostly useless in fallout 4 when it comes to character builds due to the fact you can get another SPECIAL point at any level you want.
