Good morning Tech Lords!

 

Since I'm renovating my house (It's a 90 year-old beast!), I want to redo all of the networking and also install Bluetooth speakers. Ideally, I'd like to have them throughout the house, but I'm not sure what's out there in the consumer market to accomplish this.

 

General layout is 9 rooms (2 BR, 2BA, Dining, Living, Hall, Work/Study, Kitchen)

 

This is going to be a long process, but I'd like to start now so I can get the right information to implement into the planning and design.

The easiest way to do something like this would be to use Sonos products. If you don't like the way their speakers sound, they do make little boxes that you can plug into your own sound systems. Honestly though, if you're going to be redoing the networking, I would just add a second networking cable to each room, and use that to run a sound signal, then run that through your own audio system. That would likely be cheaper.
