Which CPU should I buy?

So I am building a budget gaming build which will atleast last me 4years, the only thing I need is the CPU, i have a gtx 1050ti and i need a cpu which wont bottleneck the gpu and be good for light gaming and video editing.(I just want to play overwatch and maybe some other games in the coming years).

Anything between the price of a i3-6100 and i5 6600,

i5 6600. if you want it to last you a long time, you should get the strongest CPU you can afford. if that is the 6600 then you should get the 6600

if you can justify paying extra for the i5 6600 for just a 100-200 mhz bump in clock speeds....go for it

i5- NOT i3, which model depends on where you can find the best bargain- maybe even get a 6600k if you can find one at the price of a 6600- especially if you have a z170 board. Then it would allow you to OC later when you upgrade to a better GPU or get tired of long render times, and it will have a much better resale value later on.

i5-6600k if you have a Z170 motherboard, otherwise a 6600 or a 6500 should be fine.

 

I wouldn't get an i3, dual core 2 years ago may have been acceptable, but not anymore with the strain BF1 puts on CPUs.
