The GTX 1060 is generally stronger if you're playing at 1080p. If you have a 1440p monitor, go with the RX 480.

the 480 would be better for the future, it has better directx12 and vulcan support. and the extera frame buffer will help.

1060, but I would see if you could stretch your budget for the 6GB version so it's better for future titles / resolutions

...I see. Maybe the RX480 then. Again though it depends which model of card you're going for, for that you'd have to dive pretty deep for reviews that use 1080p ultrawide monitors.

I'd try and find a higher tier RX 480. Jayz2cents did a review on one that he LOVED, the rest he said were mediocre. I'd find the video and get that one.

I think by the time devs get DX12/Vulcan working properly it'll be time to get a new card anyway. 9_9
