Hello internett

I am planning to do a oil pc project for my second home pc (the reason I can do oil cooling:) The theme is white with some black.

If you wish to take a closer look at the plans you need to download the google sketchup here:

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0Bxcmz8PU82laUklFYmIyaGIyXzg/edit?usp=sharing

I want to know if someone has tips when it comes to the pump, rads, cooler, 770/780 (only posible to sli with the 770 because of space)  and if anyone out there has any idea what kind of rad will be suitable etc.

The parts I will be using are:

MB: Gigabyte GA-Z87MX-D3H (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4490#ov)

CPU: i5 4670K

8 GB of ram of some sort (thinking silver corsair venegance)

CPU cooler: thermalright silver arrow extreme with some white fans (http://www.thermalright.com/html/products/cpu_cooler/silverArrow_sb-e_extreme.html)

GPU: KFA^2/Galaxy GTX 770 HOF or 780 HOF depending on the money situation (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814162137), (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814162142)

PSU: Fractal design tesla or newton in white (650W or 1000) (http://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/power-supplies/tesla/tesla-r2-650w-white), (http://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/power-supplies/newton/newton-r3-1000w-white)

RAD: 3x2 120mm

PS: If any Norwegians know what to use exept for horse laxitive I have heard vaselinolje might work. (http://www.maritim.no/vaselinolje)

A 500-550w would be enough for a single gpu and 750w for 2. 650w and 1000w psus are respectively overkill.

Why such a large heatsink? I'm thinking a downward facing fan that blows down onto the motherboard would look cooler. Something like a NH-L12 or NH-C14 from Noctua would be nice.

I want the looks to be the most important if I choose to go just one 780 I will use the 650W but if I want to sli two 770s I think it will be to small:/

The reason i wnt to go with the silver arrow the the looks and the ability to overclock like hell.

Nice tips about the down facing cooler, I will consider it ;)

Maybe Noctua nh-c14 with the new corsair ones (http://www.komplett.no/k/ki.aspx?sku=798346)

Yes I know the noctua fans are best, but the looks is more important and you can't hear them anyway because of the oil :)

I'm pretty sure the flowing oil will dissipate the heat much better than air. I don't think you'll need something like the Silver Arrow to do a great oc considering you are liquid cooling. You can always replace the fan with a better looking one.

You can run a 780 off of a decent 550w psu. I'd recommend a 750w for 2 770's.

The Corsair fan looks good. Noctua fans are generally good but there are many good alternatives.

I think i will go for the 650w anyways don't think i will be upgrading with sli if I have the option to go with a 780 HOF  :P

I know the cooling is overkill, but that was also the idea. When I first do oil cooling I want it to be visible in core temp :D

I'm not entirely sure but the difference between the Silver Arrow and the C14 shouldn't be much if anything considering you're submerging everything in oil.

Pretty sure a decent 600w psu is already more than enough.
