So in an upcoming build i'll be using the MSI X99A Gaming Pro Carbon, would it be worth it to upgrade that board to the Asus ROG Rampage Edition 10?

Unfortunately most ROG boards now a days are full of gimmicks with RGB lighting leading the gimmicky features.

Unless you need extra ports or extra slots or whatever it is that is different about the 2 boards, swapping a board is never really an upgrade in performance but rather a change in features and available hardware configuration.

I would use it for the on-board WiFi (yes I know that Ethernet is better but I don't feel like running a 150+ foot cable through my house), and I feel like it is a better overclocker because of the extra 4 pin on the top of the board.

External USB Wifi can be had for very cheap now a days. I'm not sure if swapping an entire board is necessary for that reason.

I'd check some reviews to see if the onboard wifi is actually good or not. Might make more sense to use a USB adapter like @Darkangel86 suggested, or a PCI based card. WiFi isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be if you get a decent set up.

Decent setup AND decent environment. I personally dislike Wifi! But it can be setup to work properly, especially with lower speed internet connection.

A good set up can overcome environment. That is, after all, what they're designed to do ;)

I have a pretty decent connection and never had an issue including gaming.

Yeah gaming is fine even on a crappy setup most of the time. My problems typically arise from mass continuous transfers to NAS devices and so on.

All in all, even the best wireless card will not save a crappy access point and / or router. Usually for the money you'll spend on a GOOD quality wireless setup, you can get most of your stationary devices like desktops and game systems wired properly at home!
