Anyone here good with electrical motor? More specificly gargde door motors? My mom has an old 1/2hp chamberlain motor and everytime you would press the button it would not move and hummmmmm stop and hummmm again. So I took it off the roof and  opener her up and everything looked fine. I jumped the motor straight to the input since I wanted to make sure the capacitor and circuity were fine. Same sound thing time but with only once. I took apart the motor i didnt see any damage, lubed her all up and still no movment. Any ideas? By the way she already got a brand new one so I'm trying to get it working just for shits and giggles! Thanks -Connor

Don't think so!

Just out of curiosity, is it a DC motor or AC motor? I'd assume DC, but you never know.
