Hi guys, i'll build a new loop but i don't choose the fittings yet. Which are the best compression fittings for $8 or less? I need 10 3/8-5/8 compression fittings.

Another thing, i need too 90 degrees angle with rotatory, which do you recommend for the same price?

Moonsoon fittings have issues with Primochill and Tygon tubing

I'm using them with Primochill tubing. It works perfectly fine (so, no leaks or anything), but it

is a very tight fit and the tubing is very annoying to get onto the fittings, and the compression

nut is very tough to tighten down. I have also tested Clearflex at some point, and it was much

easier to get onto the Monsoon fittings.

That's what I meant by "has issues" it might vary but in my case they were almost impossible to get on.

Ah OK, I wasn't sure if you might have meant leaks or something else. But yes, my experience

seems to be consistent with yours, rather annoying. When I do loop maintenance on ZEUS the

next time I will most likely replace the tubing with something else (possibly Norprene, I love how

it looks and really want to try it out, although I've heard it's a bit more prone to kinking that normal

PVC tubing).

EDIT:

Just remembered something: Primochill tubing has actually been a very tight fit with all of

the fittings I've used it on, at least the 16/10 mm variant. Just FYI.

Works great with bittspower and swiftech fittings for me (I have 1 swiftech fitting because they ran out of bittspower ones :P)

Huh, good to know, thanks! Alphacool fittings are on the "annoying list" IME.

And which is the best tubing in your opinion? In all aspects, flexibility, fittings compatibility, i mean, perfect seal with many compression fittings.

I have heard great things about Norprene, although it is certainly not for everyone.

But it is much more durable than normal tubing, some resellers even recommend it for

laying tubes in your house which stay there for years. I definitely plan on getting

some and trying it out for myself in the near future.

Alternatively I have heard good things about Primochill's Advanced LRT tubing (I

have the lesser sort of Primochill tubing, although apart from that tight fitting

issue it's worked well for me so far), but as mentioned you might run into tightness

issues with that as well with some fittings.

Bitspower.

Accept no substitute.

Norprene is the best tube for stability,PVC tube normally used will fog or leech eventually, its the nature of the tube. PVC tube has a high porosity, water will permeate causing the fogging.

Well....I have heard bad things about monsoon fittings not holding tube correctly and some finish issues but if you like them then get them.

The finish on the ones I have was flawless, the only problem I've had with it is that

since the compression nut is very tough to tighten with the Primochill tubing, I slipped

and scratched the fitting with the tool they provide, but other than that they've been

OK for me.

As for the tube holding, that's not really an issue with how tight Primochill's tubing

fits onto the fittings, but it may be with other stuff, you'd have to try it out. Simply

looking at their construction, they do look less grippy than other fittings, but whether

or not that's actually an issue in practice I do not know. If you see to it that your

tube runs don't put too much stress on the connection with the fitting, you should

probably be fine though, but that may not always be as easy as it sounds.

Swiftech makes great fittings for cheaper than Bitspower. I'm using a couple in correlation with Bitspower and I've never had a problem with them.

The only issue I've found with the fitting is trying to remove the compression when tubing is on them. You have to hold the tubing while unscrewing otherwise they tend to unscrew from the G1/4" end.

Bitspower on the other hand doesn't have that issue but they are a pain to unscrew in general because they get so tight.

Just go with what you think looks the best for your build. I've got EK comps in one computer and Bitspower in another. Both do the same job in my opinion, It's all down to general looks I guess and budget of course. I have also heard bad things about the Monsoon fittings but I think they should be okay to use tbh.

I think i'll go for the EK CSQ+EK-Tube ZMT. I want tygon but i'm mexican and is very difficult buy wc pieces, but now we have EK reseller.

What do you think? Or, i can try buy another fittings without tubing, one of my cousins will go to USA the next month but he return in plane.

EK fittings will be fine. However in regards to tubing see if you can get your hands on some Primochill advanced LRT. The tygon tubing looks great for a couple, clean crisp almost crystal like for a month before it realy gets cloudy.
