Which 1070 is better?

So I'm going to build my first Pc I'm getting the parts on Christmas and my Graphics card is going to be a gtx 1070 (btw Im getting everything off Amazon) anyways I picked it out cause I thought it would look good with the colors and everything that I'm going to have in to my build but on one of Linus's most recent video's (What Video Card to Buy - Late 2016) he talks about good cards and he recommended a certain 1070 almost the exact same price but Linus said he recommends it too anyone and he liked the performance of it and I think it looks cool and all it wont look near as good as the one I picked out in side my build but I trust Linus more that me so I'm asking any one which one I should get?

Whichever one matches your build better visually tbh

I'm using an EVGA one in my VR build and it's fine, backplate is a nice touch. I have a MSI 970 in my main build and the cooler on that is great, so they're both good options.

I think that the performance you get from those two should be very similar, the only difference I can tell is color and factory overclock(which shouldn't make that big of a difference because of GPU boost 3.0). I say get the one that matches.

The only aspects one 1070 can be better than another 1070 are factory clocks/overclocks, and the cooler, and it doesn't matter much with either if you buy from EVGA, MSI, ASUS, Gigabyte, or any other reputable NVidia gfx card partner.

Short answer, go EVGA.

 

Why? customer service. and also wacht out their thermal vram problems. just ask them directly a extra termal pad and they give it for free.

Get the MSI. I have it and it's the best decision I made in my pc
