I've been using my MSI GE620DX laptop as my daily for a while now, and nowadays it just doesn't cut it even for normal usage.

In august I started this project. My first purchase was a second hand prebuilt and a decent 1080p monitor.

So these are the specs of the tower I bought for 200€:

Intel Core i7 2600, Medion motherboard (made by MSI), AMD Radeon HD6450, 2+4GB 1333Mhz DDR3 RAM, 1TB Samsung HDD , 350W FSP PSU and a fanless case.

The first thing I did was to get a 256GB SSD, then a CM TX3i cooler, after that I swapped the 2GB module to an 8GB one. Also I'm running an Antec VPF650 PSU now.

So...

Intel Core i7 2600 w/ CM TX3i

OEM mobo by MSI

12GB RAM

A display output

1TB HDD + 256 SSD

650W PSU

Two days ago I returned an Sapphire RX480 4G (234€) because I couldn't get it to work with my setup.

Now I'm having a hard time choosing the graphics card. These are the options I currently have

MSI 3GT OC GTX1060 3GB --> 238€

MSI GAMING X GTX 1060 3GB --> 252€

Sapphire R9 FURY 4G --> 309€

MSI 6GT OC GTX 1060 6GB --> 319€

ASUS DUAL STRIX OC GTX 1060 6GB --> 332€ (Promo Mafia 3 + money in Paragon)

Which would you buy?

I will also be ordering a case, probably a Phanteks Eclipse P400 or an NZXT S340 (both 70€). If you have any other suggestion feel free to let me know.

As far as I know, the best deal here is probably the Fury, but for how much? (Also this gigantic triple fan card looks like serious business)

I'd like to get the 1060 because of the market share (and therefore support) and those extra nvidia functionalities, so the real question is IS 3GB ENOUGH?

There's just no answer for that anywhere. Everyone seems to agree that you should get the 6GB model, but there's only an 5-10% difference in performance for a 25% difference in price. Also the "deviation-from-MSRP" is lower on those cards.

I can afford any of these, but the least money I spend, the better.

if you're into gaming i think in 12 months this will be too small. I have the 3Gb model; for my use and CSGO its more than enough.
