CPU @ 95-100% on Battlefield 1

Currently I'm my cpu is always at 95 - 100% when playing battlefield 1. I'm looking for a fix or an upgrade as well as a new cooler and I'd like some opinions. Budget at max is $500 for CPU and Cooler, but preferred around $350. Thanks! (Specs listed in screenshot)

The only "fix" would be a better cpu, look at a i7 4790/4790k

Obviously, the OP wants better performance then what they have currently, the CPU being at 100% is definitely going to be an issue if they want more performance. Overclocking, and shutting down background programs might help a little, but more and more games are pinning i5s at 100%.

Maxing out your CPU while gaming isn't even a bad thing.

While playing occasionally when it hits 100% the game will freeze for around 15 seconds.

That is an unrelated problem with your system or the game.

Any ideas on what the problem could be? Would a reinstall need to happen?

Yes that is a bad thing look if the gpu isn't also at 100%, and is called gpu bottlenecking.

Check for overheating, or high ram/hdd usages, when the problem occurs, high cpu usage is unlikely to cause that.

Any cpu that isnt 4c8t aka I7 is gonna be running at 85-100% in BF1

My friends I5 4670k @4.4 is most of the time 75-100%

My stock I7-4770K is just cruising 35-45%

Let's agree to disagree

If the GPU is close to 100%, or if the game is just more CPU intensive then there is no problem. But if you want the best performance in BF then yeah i7.
