Share Windows Drive Without Password

Hi everyone, I'm trying to share my a drive on my PC without a password so anyone on the network can access it. The "server" is a desktop and the client is a laptop. When I try to access the drive from my laptop it asks for login info. If I enter my desktop's login credentials it works just fine. Since I'm trying to do this without a login I turned off password protected sharing. I can now connect to my desktop without a password but when I go to open the network shared drive it says Permission denied. This worked just fine when I had a password but doesn't work when I remove the password. Is there a way to access the share without needing a password?

Also a separate issue, on my other laptop I can't access my FreeNAS share. It works on the 3 other windows computers in my house but not on that one. Are there any settings I need to account for?

On the drive you wish to share, you need to set the permission on the filesystem (found in the properties dialog when right clicking on the drive), add a user called Everyone and set the permissions to read and write. Then go to sharing permissions and also add the user Everyone and set the read/write permissions there too.

Comb it with a brick
