computer wont post

Hi guys, i need some help diagnosing my computer

I get the computer turning on but there is no video out whatsoever on my graphics card, fans spin and everything lights up properly but no video
here is my list
AMD FX8370 w/ wraith
MSI 970a SLI Krait
1x8 PNY DDR3 1600
thermaltake smart 650w power supply

XFX R9 380x

 

any help is appreciated

check all the cables thoroughly first of all. check that its socketed properly. ill keep thinking of possible issues

That could happen if your mobo decides that your cpu is unstable, have you been overclocking it? If so, if your mobo has a CLEARCMOS button at the rear I/O port, click that and see if your system boots.

Otherwise, try switching your Ram into different slots, or re-seating it in the same slot. In my experience, 90% of the time the RAM is the issue with the computer, don't really know why though.

it very well could be your ram or motherboard dimm slots that are the issue. that happened with my MSI motherboard
