My experience with Windows Thin PC

So, as you know, I had a crappy ass Asus Eee PC. That thing was terrible. It performed worse than a Pentium 4 M. So I used something lightweight. let me introduce you to Windows Thin PC.

This OS is not completely meant for an average PC, but for thin clients which have very low-end specs. Still, it was perfect. It's basically a stripped down version of Windows 7 with Remote Assistance. Here's how much disk space it occupies without any drivers:

Yes my friends, it consumes only 3GB of HDD stock. That is absolutely amazing.

Here's a brief look at its Start Menu:

As you may notice, it doesn't come with lot (ignore Hammer & Chiesel and Maxthon, I installed them afterwards). Also it doesn't come with a Search function.

Resource use: I'd say normal Windows 7 use. With 3 tabs in Firefox, Discord and 2 Paint windows it consumes 1.2GB.

Conclusion: this is not for your average Joe. If you have a high end PC, go away from it. It's pointless. But if you have a Celeron or an Atom, I'd go for it. It's OK on resources and consumes fraction of the disk space. I've been using it for well over 8 months now on both my Eee PC and Aspire E 13 without any complaints.

Thank you very much Djole123, this is a very good information for a friend of mine with a low spec PC.

I will make some research to see what it's missing, but can you game on this OS ? like Dota2 / CS 1.6 / maybe some NFS.
I will try it and add the findings here.

No problem.

Note: Microsoft doesn't have an official webpage for Windows Thin PC anymore, but they still host the ISO file. If you want, I can send you the link for it in PM.

Also, all of your games and apps should still work in Thin PC.
