Fps problem on a gtx 1070

(sorry for my bad english) I dont get it...i got a gtx 1070, AMD FX 8350 4 Ghz , 24 gb Ram and i am below 60fps most of the time and it happen in alot of my big games (Gear Of War ultimate edition,Deus Ex mankind divided, Wolfenstein new order, Shadow Warrior 2). Most in game benchmark tell me i'm suppose to be at 58-60fps( like Gear) . Is it possible its because i have a 1080p 60hz? Some games like Doom, Killer instincts, Overwatch and moba games work fine. But most bigger games start at 60 and as soon the action happen i go to 50fps ( Gear of war is mostly at 40-50 even sometime at 20-30).I saw some video when people go over 100fps. For me its still playable but i dont see a big different between my old gtx760 and my 1070.Overall i just want to go in a bigger frame rate and not having screen tearing. Anybody can help me?

The FX 8350 bottlenecks most likely your GTX 1070. Check CPU usage while gaming.

There is probably a setting in those games that you have enable that's limiting to 60FPS, however, to be dipping down to 20-30 FPS in Gears sounds odd...I'd think the CPU would be fine but maybe it is bottlenecking. If you can, try to overclock your CPU.

My build:

Your CPU had its best days. You should think about a new one.

GTX 1070 is able to dominate every single game on ultra settings at 60fps (ignore hairwork from witcher 3).

Your CPU is most likely bottlenecking you.

To verify that, you can use some software to monitor your CPU and GPU usage. You will see that when your fps drop below 60, your CPU usage is 100%.

Or in some cases abnormall, because not all games can use 8 cores. Also keep an eye on frame time in your monitoring software. The higher the frame time, the crapier is your CPU.

Any i5 6xxx series would be much better.

At risk of being prosecuted by the AMD inquisition... That CPU is the root of all your problems.

We can discuss how it's not being properly used blah blah. In short: It's too weak for a 1070.
