If 960 can run games at 60fps (AAA titles) then 380 (better gpu) can run 1440p CSGO and LoL no problem.
I do prefer higher refresh rate to resolution but u are just going gfor way too big screen, but hey if thats what u want then fine. Try it out.

if you have shitty eyes then 27" is the sweet spot for 1080p.

I dunno, maybe my eyes are crappy (I'm past 50 anyway), but when I was out shopping for monitors with a good friend (he's past 60) we checked out the Acer Z35 (35" 2560x1080) and it looked pretty good to our old eyes. Only reason I'd not snagged it was due to it being a Gsync model, I'm planning an upgrade for my 2x R9 290X to an AMD Zen build with a TOTL VEGA GPU (or two), so it's gotta be a Freesync monitor for me to even consider it. Finally bought an Acer XR341CK instead....

As far as screen size and pixel density, greater than 27" for 1920x1080 is not exactly the best, however it also depends on how far you're sitting from your screen. If you have a bigger desk, or you just sit further back from your screen, a 27" or more 1080 display will be fine. I mean, we all know how big TV's are and up until the last few years they were 1920x1080 and they are/were just fine as long as you weren't 18" away from the screen. I only really notice pixels if I'm A) REALLY close to the screen and 2) it's a static image; once there's any motion picture (movie, game, etc) it becomes a lot harder.
