First pc build...coming soon!

kelvinhall05

So excited to (hopefully) build my new pc soon! Very budget oriented and was wondering if I should change anything. The only thing I am not changing is the case. I also want to stay under $600, maybe even under $500. Lastly, I was wondering if I could somehow take the windows product key from my old laptop which I don't use anymore and transfer it to this new computer. Anyways, here's the pcpartpicker link:

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/BdDmxY

Quote me to see my reply!

Trust PartPicker your build has incompatibilities. You will have to use a different case.

You could make the jump up to a cheap i5 which would help performance a lot and it would still be under 600. But keeping a built PC under 500 is hard to get something really good unless you're just using it to play games like Dota or Counter Strike.

Potential Issues / Incompatibilities

  • 1 additional case full expansion slot is needed.
  • Asus Radeon RX 460 4GB STRIX OC Video Card and Cougar QBX Mini ITX Tower Case are not compatible.

Since the GTX 1050 Ti was just released, you'll be able to get great performance for a great price :)

it is not that necessary, he is pairing it with a 460 so a i5 would not be necessary. plus the i3 has hyperthreading so it wont be an issue

But on Newegg, the same case (in the pictures) has 2 expansion slots.
