I would really appreciate if u guys could review this build,

I know I'm overpaying for some things, but my budget is 2200 Euro's and I already own the 1080 Founders

http://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/rQjWr7

It's general purpose will be Gaming; and Photo, Video and 3D Editing as a Hobby (Pretty High-End)

No Peripherals needed atm.

750W for future proofing, once I'm going to SLI

Maybe a Custom Loop later on

Thx!

wow I am seriously green.......

good build but want do you want pc for?

case has plenty of hdd space , are you going to use them? that case is 58 cm tall like something from 2001 space odessy.

are you going to sli?

so basically im saying function determines form and you haven't described its function/useage or wether expandability is a criteria.

750W is overkill, 500W is enough. You dont need such expensive ram, just get regular LPX. You could also get air instead of AIO if you really want to save, still performs well for much less.

Edit: Purpose of build? 6700K is faster for gaming, only buy 6800K if you need the extra cores.

I dont really have to save, (have 2200 Euro's for everything and I own a 1080)

Thats why I'm willing to overpay for some things

I choose 750W if I ever want to SLI (which I will i the future) or add some Parts

And I know I forgot the purpose xD

Your spending 2200 euro and you forget why? As I said, 6700K is faster for gaming. You will lose performance by going for the 6800K if you dont need it (Albeit not much but still).

Guys he is building PC for gaming and video editing. Video editing will benefit a lot from those 2 extra cores with HT.

And he can overclock that CPU to 4,2GHz for daily usage. I know this CPU can handle higher OC, but 4,2GHz is OC that 99% of CPUs can handle with ease.

Everything look great, except RAM. I would get 4x8GB instead of 2x16GB.

It will look much better with 2 ram slots being used on each side.

yes you do need a large case

also personnel choice, maybe have

1tb sdd for OS and programs and a separate 3tb hdd for storage pics, psd's and video files etc...

Thats what I was thinking, but maybe 2TB will be enough for now, I can always buy more I guess

I would trade the 6800k for the 5820k, the only difference is .3ghz and like 12 pcie lanes and If you don't plan on sli it will be better, because its like half the cost. With the extra $300 you could get a 500gb Samsung 950 pro ssd. I would also consider adding more hard drive space. And getting a different case because you doing need on that big.

Well iu 5820k is like 10% cheaper in my country, so not worth it for me.

But for OP ... not sure what is price difference in his country.

Nope, Im going with 2 of 16 I guess,

4 of 8 cost 350

2 of 16 cost 230

Nvm;

PCPartPicker is weird

2 x 16GB = 230$

4 x 8GB = 350$

2Kits of 2 x 8GB = 240$ (120$ each)
