2 GTX 690 and i7 3930k and game still lags?!

Is Crysis 3 really that demanding?

I can see immediately that he left his CPU at stock speeds, and since games can't use all 6 cores, he kinda limited with what he can do, and right now all he can do to fix that would be overclocking, because most of the time, stuttering is CPU bound

also could be that he's doing 4 way SLi

Yes.

How 4 way sli can cause it?

How 4 way sli can cause it?

4-way SLI/CFx usually doesn't scale very well, and some of the time, it even gives you lower performance than 2 or 3 way SLI/CFx.

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

Isn't there more CPU overhead with 3-4 way SLI? With stock speeds on that CPU I doubt it has the single core performance needed @ 3.2Ghz. He could try running just one GTX690 to see if its a 4-way conflict.

A great example of someone with more money than sense to throw at things.

i5-3570k @ 4.4ghz (1.240v) || Asrock extreme 4 || CM Hyper 212 evo

Samsung 840 || WD blue 1tb || WD green 1tb || Powercolor 7870 xt @ (1200 mhz core : 1500 mhz mem)

Powered by a silverstone strider 500w psu in a NZXT 210.

1. Poorly optimized game.

2. Bad scaling (4-way SLI)

3. VRAM limitation.

I'd like to see results with 4 Titans...

Apparently its the overhead wires on the going hunting level that kills everything. I saw a video of a 7990 maxing the game out at 1080p 8xmsaa though
