Hello I've decided to make the move from console to PC gaming. I have a $600-$800 budget to spend (all i can spend without pissing off my girlfriend). I'll mostly be playing Bf4 when it comes out and id like to play it at med-high settings but i just have no clue what all i should buy. I plan on using one of my TV's as a monitor but everything else i still need. If someone could maybe help me out and recommend parts i should get with my budget that would be awesome. I'm just clueless on what to buy. I'd like to spend the least amount possible but if i have to spend more I'm ok with that but i do plan on upgrading in the future. Thank you in advance.

I have a wired controller already and im sure i might have a keyboard and mosue somewhere. Should i go with a 270x and just use the stock cooler to make it a little cheaper?

I've updated it a little bit. picked a cheaper case and power supply http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1S58Q

Thats perfectly doable. I personally despise the cm elite 430 aesthetic, but hey I am a minimalist (i use a r4) and it is your call.

Your list would perform slightly better in games but not be as smooth as my list overall.

"Better ram" would only benefit looks and not actual performance you would notice.

The ssd makes a bigger difference than upgrading every other part combined.

There wouldn't be much upgrading without changing the psu with my build.

If you are really inclined to spend more: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1SpTI

Why not shop around for lower prices?

Not even Newegg? Pcpartpicker usually already calculates in shipping anyway..

i also have an amazon store card. i found a post of yours on a topic for a $600 build ( http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1S9a4 ) which i like. id probably buy a more expensive video card but would it give me the performance i need?

You need to understand that if you trow in a better graphics card it still has to work with a relative budget CPU. I would say, if you can get the FX6300 then the 7950 would be a good option. I'll make you something off only amazon.

Here is the build without amazon.

Here is the build with amazon.

So, as you can see - I highly doubt that your amazon card and what not will save you that much. To make up for it.

NZXT Phantom windowed, Asus Z77 Sabertooth, Intel 2600K, Noctua NH-D14, EVGA 780 Classified, Crucial Ballistic Tactical, Crucial M4 128GB + Samsung 850 EVO, Corsair RM850, Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty Peripherals: Sennheiser HD598, FinalMouse Classic, SteelSeries Qck Heavy, Ducky Shine Zero (MX Brown), AOC G2460PF & Qnix QX2710

The build you linked should be plenty.

Slight edit since parts and prices change frequently, the ram was also out of stock, and you shopping from Amazon: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1SO1G
