Hey.

i am having some problems installing windows on my Samsung 950pro with Asus Hyper M.2 pcie card adaptor.

The m.2 is showing up in bios but is not selectable in windows install, and is not showing up on the hdd list.

My motherboard is the lga 1150 Asus Maximus Formula vi, and yes it has that awsome m.2 extension card that only fits tiny dawrfs and magic toads, and thats where the Asus hyper m.2 pcie adaptor comes in.

the card is installed correctly in the right pcie slot.

I have been thinking that i might have to install the OS on another ssd and then activate the 950pro inside of windows and then do anlther install on the 950pro, and if that is the case, can this be done without having windows installed?

I have also installed the latest bios for my MB and i am installing W7 ultimate.

Does linus have a guide somewhere? Please help me..

Did you check your BIOS version?

Your motherboard is few years old, so you might still have old BIOS on it that doesn't recognise this exact SSD on M.2

It's worth checking.
