New Motherboard

Go to solution Solved by Godlygamer23,

Remove and install the necessary drivers within Safe Mode.

Hello Folks!

My question is, can I install my new Motherboard, without having to reinstall Windows?

I'm asking this, because last time I installed a new MB, I got BSOD and ended up having to reinstall Windows

Greetings :)

Some cases, yes if the same motherboard.  But some problems can occur like the situation you stated which you needed to reinstall it like if it was a different board.

You typically have to do a clean install unless it's the same motherboard due to the different drivers needed.

That's really annoying .-.-

Don't even have a backup drive D:

You can still do what is suggested below if backups are too tedious, but it is a bit more complex and usually more work than a simple reinstall, aside from ridding your computer of any clutter.

Remove and install the necessary drivers within Safe Mode.
