you need a PSU and a SATA cable, you can get both at Newegg.

 

^you probably already have the PSU...

 

An alternative would be to pickup a USB dock for HDDs.

You need a system with an open SATA port, or you can also get an external hard drive enclosure to put the drive in, which would also work. If you're just intending to use the drive as is, you need an open SATA port and also power for the drive. If this is a laptop hard drive, you can usually just connect it to the laptop, depending on your configuration of course.
