I'm looking for a new gaming mouse for my new build I'm currently working on and was wandering which one between the Logitech g502 proteus spectrum and the Logitech g402 hyperion fury would be best. I mostly played on consoles and I'm just getting into PC gaming so I'm not used to playing on a keyboard and mouse, but I'm looking for a mouse best for my needs and most reliable (which would last longest).

Ok.

What are your needs?

Sorry about that. Lots of computer programming and gaming. I'm not a really serious gamer, but I do play quite a lot. Genres I play are:

-Shooters

-RPG (Mass effect, witcher, etc. though I will probably be using a controller here)

-Puzzles

-Action adventure

I also plan on trying out some MOBA, MMORPG, and strategy games. I would also like it to last me as long as possible

Same here as @dexxterlab97. Had my G402 for about a year and I really love it. I've tried out a G502, and sure, the extra buttons and weights are nice, but not worth it for the extra money in my opinion.

Lenovo Ideapad 720s 14 inch ------ One day I'll have a desktop again...

Your g402 had no issues after a year? I'd like the mouse to last as long as possible

Absolutely none. If I cleaned the bits of grime out of the sides of the bottom pads, it could pass as brand new. Side note: the software for it is really good as well.

Both the Mices G502 and G402 are great at performances.

I am using G402 for last one and half year, and still its clicks and scrolls are perfect. I am very much used to play Counter Strike Go, Dota and Tomb Rider.

It holds well.

At many places, you will find some comments like Scroll of G402 not working well and bull shit.

I didn't find any of these problems.

It's great and also a great value at its price range.

G402 is in the shape of the G502 but lighter and with less features. But still as accurate. Its a middleground shape for any grip type as long as you don't have small hands.

If you only strictly palm grip and want more hand support, get one of the Mionix Naos. G502 has all the bells and whistles but its kinda heavy.

Strictly speaking between the g502 and g402, which would you say is the better option price to performance wise and which would last longer.

So for the price, the g402 would be a better option?

Both have a 2 year warranty. Price difference between them is $20 dollars. Just do a comparison.
