Posted October 24, 2016 The Crucial MX300 are perfectly fine and preform very similarly to the evo 850. It's just not as impressive as the faster option that are on the market. http://ssd.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Samsung-850-Evo-500GB-vs-Crucial-MX300-525GB/3477vs3643 Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/680143-which-ssd-would-you-get/#findComment-8747660 Share on other sites
 Posted October 24, 2016 Never get a refurbished SSD. You don't know for how long it's been used before you get it, and SSD are much less durable than HDDs as they have a limited number of write cycles. Always buy new. Posted October 24, 2016 What's the warranty period on the refurbished Samsung Evo 850? If it's the same as the new drive, definitely pick one of those up. Samsung's SSD warranty is pretty top notch and they cover all of the shipping expenses both ways. I had a SATA M.2 SSD go out on me once and they had it replaced by the end of the same week via mail. Like I said, they are great with handling warranty issues. I own A LOT of there SSDs and I've only ever had a problem with one. I can't even say with certainty that it wasn't my fault.
