Hi guys I need you help on deciding on a motherboard to buy 

this one:

am just an average gamer/ programmer so i would be spending most of my time writing code but I also want a gaming pc that can play resent games like titanfall, FIFA, tomb raider, witcher stuff like that at first i was concidaring the red one dew to the design and color but at the same time I don't want to buy something that's catchy please help. Thank you

From what you listed the Z1170-A is more than enough, no need to get the $217 mobo.

Gaming - Ryzen 9800X3D | 64GB 6400mhz cl30 9070 XT

Homelab - many servers...constantly changing.

Reviews don't really mean a thing. Personally, I've had amazing experiences with Asus motherboards, having a Z97 sabertooth in my main rig and a P5G41C-M LX in my brother's rig, both happily chugging along with no issues whatsoever. Some of the bad reviews on Newegg are user error and some are just bad units.

I've built two systems based around the ASUS one , both work great without problems.
