Good day one and all,

first post here and I have a doozy :)

I built my pc a few months back and have just updated my GPU's from to 980's to 2 GtX 1080.

When I play games in normal mode, everything is fine, but when I connect the two and activate SLI, I get this weird purple and blue shading that makes the games unplayable.

Frame rates are still working and there's no stuttering, but this weird colour thing does not make sense.

I tried all the normal troubleshoot things:

1) Move the two cards around. They work well singularly and all.

2) Uninstalled all the drivers and reinstalled them.

3) Change the DP Cable.

I don't know what else to try.. any help would be great.

Thank you all.

P.S. this is the problem im having with Skyrim.

This is one of the downsides of SLI. Skyrim is poorly optimized for it. Drivers probably won't do their job too well either :/

It's happening in multiple games, it seems.

Do you have experience with SLI?

This could be the fault of a defective SLI bridge.
I have heard about weird artifacts because of defective SLI bridges.

Look here for example: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/287621-33-issues
This guy had a defective SLI bridge and the result was "discoloration".

Sure, he was using 8800GTXs, but SLI bridges have never really changed.
