I'm going to see a guy tommorow to buy a used R9 280x and I am going to test it out at his place, so I was wondering what software tests to do?

 

Also some other things to look out for?

SSD: Crucial MX300 525GB | HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB - Toshiba DT01ACA300 3TB

If it looks like it should (compare with an internet photo), and performs as it should without any artifact or similar, you are good to go.

Use heaven/valley/furmark and bring a knife.

fire strike or time spy if you want to asses GPU performance

furmark if you want to asses thermal performance

Use everything they said except FurMark. FurMark is unrealistic.
