Embed youtube links not functioning

At first I thought that it was just the timestamped version that wasn't embedding, so I tried this:

Normally the editor would automatically embed the video and then say "We've embedded your link, click here if you don't want this" (or something similar). This time nothing happens. I tried in my original post, in test posts, and here. In no place can I embed video.

seems to work for me  (it was whatever video i was watching )

That video cannot be embedded because the uploader has disabled it for that video. If you go to share->embed on that video, it says "Embedding disabled by request".

Makes sense. I didn't realize that content producers had that option. Thanks for the help @colonel_mortis
