RAM Changes

Can I change the RAM in my computer from the old 3gb of ddr2 to 8gb of ddr2 without reinstalling Windows?

 

Any answers are much appreciated.

what OS are you running 32-bit or 64-bit?

well if you have a 32-bit windows max you can go is 4Gb of ram and only a portion of it will be usable ram
