Most people will suggest to do a fresh installation of your chosen OS, instead of performing a clone, to prevent potential issues. What SSD are you using? It may come with cloning software, but if not, MiniTool Partition Wizard allows you to clone drives over to other drives.

Another question I have is how big is the hard drive?

Hei. I want to transfer all my HDD data to my new SSD and make the SSD as a boot drive. And yes the OS is in the HDD.

I recently just cloned my HDD to my new SSD. It caused a bit of problems, which I would personally not want to deal with again. Personally switch any files you want to keep onto a usb drive and do a fresh installation of windows.

I would recommend you clean install the OS on SSD. Through it cost more time, you get clean and brand new OS. However, if you want to keep all personal configurations in current OS, clone with AOMEI Backupper then. It will clone HDD with only used part by default, so it is helpful when the SSD is not that large.
