My GPU doesn't work properly

Hi,

 

When I start any 3D application my GPU would not work with the his full potential and the temps stay the same as in idle(45°C). The GPU Usage however goes well above 50% but my FPS hover around 1-5.
Restarting my PC fixes it sometimes but it will happen again eventually so I'm looking for a more permanent fix.

My specs:

 

ASUS M5A99X Evo

AMD Phenom X4 965

8GB DDR3 Ram

GeForce GTX 570 (msi)

Windows 10 Pro 64bit

Really?, if that still doesnt work. Try a new cpu, that might be the cause

It was a joke but i could swap my 570 with my old 5770 but I can't get it right now

Lol, thought so too. I think the amd cpu is bottlenecking the nvidia gpu? I'm not an expert but that's what I think is going on here

It isn't, everything worked fine for 5 years and both have similiar benchmark scores.

What are the types of 3d applications you use? Did you update drivers?

With 3D applications I mean everything my GPU needs to render in 3D and everything runs at low FPS even Counter Strike 1.6 one the lowest settings.

Updated drivers and checked for any viruses.

I think it maybe the dust on your computer? Try cleaning it with compressed air  because not cleaning it for a year or two can really slow down your performance.
