I want to get a new graphics card with my Athlon 880k

So I want to buy a new GPU that won't bottleneck my Athlon X4 880k

 

I'm thinking of either getting a 750ti or a 950.

 

I got a great deal on a 970 a while ago but didn't know about bottlenecking.

You're better off with the 970 if it's a good price.

I wouldn't worry too much about bottlenecking since even when there is a bottleneck the higher GPU's still draw more frames.

 

Also, it depends on the games and your monitor frame-rate.

Probably, but I also allows you to use they card later if you upgrade your CPU

the gtx 970 is no longer a great gpu go get yourself a gtx 1060 3gb or 6gb card

Oh ok. I just want to confirm that the GTX 950 will not bottleneck at all?

Your CPU is weak but you'd rather have a CPU bottleneck rather than GPU.

the more powerful GPU you can get is better, don't think about bottlenecking, 750ti and 950 will limit your in-game settings to low and medium for smoother game play, 970 will let you use high and ultra
