I just want to see want people think. Everyone seems to disagree.

 

Personally, I disagree, I think it is just getting started. Plus there are applications outside of gaming.

It's not "dead", it's just out of reach for most people due to the price of the headsets, then there's next to no real "game" for it other than technical demos and the cost of a new PC required for it is just too much as well.

 

Overall, it's not getting much traction because it's expensive as fuck and there's no games that would make people break their bank accounts for it. Until the headsets are cheaper and is feasible on a single GPU PC, it won't really take off.

i'm waiting for price drop and better games...it's not dead...it's barely even born yet...in 10 years from now threads like this one will make you laugh when we will have 4K VR a common thing.

There's emerging markets for vr outside of gaming. It's far from dead.

I think VR is a pile of shit for serious gaming.

 

It's a cool novelty and what not, but it's really not what I want out of my gaming experience.

I still see no real reason to buy it tbh. Maybe a nice thing to play around with but nothing i would ever consider and especially not at the current price points.
