Someone correct me if I'm wrong but, I think the only difference between the normal 598's and the 598 SE's is the colour.

i could be wrong, but i remember the black ones also have an extra cable, a shorter one.

The only difference is colour and the SE comes with an extra 1.2m cable on top of the 1 3m cable that only comes with the normal version.

You can always buy that 1.2m cable for your normal edition, that's what I did.
